Networker Terms & Conditions
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Agreement is to outline the terms and conditions under which the Networker will conduct networking calls for individuals interested in their career path.
2. Services
The Networker agrees to participate in a minimum of four (4) 15-minute networking calls with individuals who book based on their availability.
3. Compensation
The Networker will receive a total payment of $10 CAD (ten dollars) per networking call and can earn up to $40 (forty dollars) CAD for completing four (4) calls in a given month.The payment will be made via e-transfer to the Networker on the first of the following month. EX: Networker will be paid for December’s completed calls in January.
4. Call Scheduling
Networkees are responsible for scheduling the calls at mutually convenient times for themselves and Networkers. Calls will be scheduled based on the availability provided in the intake form. When scheduled, you’ll receive a Google Meet invitation. We ask that you please accept the invitation at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled call.
4. Call Rescheduling & Cancellation
If the Networker is unable to attend a scheduled call, they must contact the networkee using the email in the invite to reschedule. The rescheduling must occur within seven (7) days of the original meeting to avoid a 25% fee dedication from monthly payout. The Networker may reschedule two calls each month, but can only reschedule a call with a specific networkee once. If the Networker exceeds two reschedules in a month, a 25% fee will be deducted from their monthly payment.This fee will only be applied if WYK is notified of a missed call.
5. Payment Schedule
Payments will be processed on the first of each month following the successful completion of the calls. A completed call is defined as one that lasts the full 15 minutes, during which the Networker is actively engaged and present. All calls will be automatically considered successfully complete, unless we hear otherwise from the Networkee.
6. Independent Contractor Status
The Networker acknowledges that they are an independent contractor and not an employee of the Company.
7. Right to End Call
The Networker reserves the right to exit any networking call immediately if they encounter any inappropriate behavior from the networkee. Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to, harassment, discrimination, or any conduct that makes the Networker feel uncomfortable or unsafe. The Networker should report any such incidents to WYK for further review.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement with written notice of seven (7) days. Upon termination, any outstanding payments for completed calls will be processed. If a Networker is reported for inappropriate behavior, their listing will be promptly removed from the WYK website.
9. Income Reporting
Gig workers/Networkers who are residents in Canada are responsible to pay tax on all self-employment income by completing line 26000 of their income tax and benefit return, as well as Form T2125, Statement of Business or Professional Activities.

As an independent contractor/gig worker in Canada, you can claim eligible expenses associated with income you earned through the gig economy to reduce your taxable income. Common tax-deductible expenses for work of this nature include:
- A portion of cell phone expenses.
- Rent (if renting)
- Mortgage interest (if owning, but not the principal payment)
- Property taxes
- Utilities (electricity, heat, water, etc.)
- Home internet

10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario.
